IS TUNING HARMFUL FOR MOTOR ?
As a rule it is not. If tuners know what they are doing, and have enough experience, knowledge and skills, then new map will be in safety limits of engine possibilties. To achieve the right effect: motor and all the machinery has to be 100% correct. It is important to note that the vehicle owner must take care of the maintenance of engines and vital parts of the same. Our job is to make high-quality and safe tuning map, which will serve you reliably.
DO YOU SEE ON THE SERVICE THAT MAP WAS CHANGED ?
No, you can not see. Service diagnostic devices are not intended that reveal the contents of a folder inside the ECU. Their purpose is to diagnose faults of the engine, gearbox and other parts of the car, and deleting them, as well as various adaptation module inside the car.
Why the manufacturers themselves do not increase the engine POWER ?
They are doing this, though rarely. We have such example - Skoda Octavia 1.8 and Octavia 1.8t RS, which significantly increased strength and modification of turbine and ECU mapping. We can find a lot of examples. Each motor is designed with a certain possibility of increasing power. Manufacturers need to take care primarily about the legal limits emissions in the form of EURO standard and the engine power etc.
DO WE NEED TO CHANGE THE BRAKES AND OTHERS?
As a rule you don't. Increasing the strength of 20-40% does not require special processing of brakes, suspension or gearbox, but it all depends on the method ie. driving style. Each manufacturer is incorporating the components which may suffer greater weight of the vehicle with respect to the maximum permissible payload.
Is it a problem if the car is equipped with automatic transmission ?
This is not the problem. There are several types of automatic transmissions, and each can be adapted to the new parameters of the engine.
